We all have things that we keep and drag from place to place or wear everyday or can't live without? What item do you own that you will take to your grave wuth you? Is it a piece of Jewelry? Is It A Picture of someone? What do you treasure?

My one treasure that I refuse to let out of my sight is a wooden music box that belonged to my mother. It doesn't play anymore, but it is so beautiful and full of so many childhood memories that I hold onto it for dear life.

Awwww how neat is that !!! I love music boxes, I have just a couple. I am a huge Flag waver and my sister sent me a tiny little music box that looks like a book and when you open it it plays the "Star Spangled Banner" - It sit on the table next to my jewelry box and I open it often :)

That sounds adorable. I would like to get mine fixed, but it's so old that I don't trust anyone to do the repairs. When it did work, it played "Somewhere My Love" which was my mom's all time favorite song.

For me it is not one thing exactly but more of a box of things. I put my daughter up for adoption at the age 5. I have many pictures and a blanket and a few things that I kept from when she was with me. If I had to move and could take nothing else with me it would be the box of memories. It's all I have of her now. I do get a letter and picture each year that I add to my collection but it's not the same as being with your child. Yep...maybe I should call it my treasure chest. :)

OH Absolutely! that has to be a very special link for you and that memory. I am sorry you had to go through that but you obviously had your reasons and made the choice that was best for her at the time. Treasure that always.!

Mine is a special CD which was given to me by the man I loved then, and always will love, one Christmas when he was short of money. He bought me a collection of Soul CDs, my favourite music, but what really touched my heart was that he included another CD... a very rare one... I can't explain it to you but he put a note in with it saying that it was a special CD from his own collection which was one of his favourites. I cried when I read the note and I cried when I listened to the CD because it held a lot of meaning for both of us and our beliefs. That will always be treasured by me. Brightest Blessings.
