which romantic book has the best story?

In the classical sense, Jane Eyre; I say that because even though Jane got mistreated and what have you, she had a spirit that just wouldn't break even in the worst of times. And in the end, love triumphed. In the contemporary sense, I love Love Potions by Leslie Esdaile; It's about a bunch of women who gather together and make some money and meets some twists and new love along the way.

Abelard and Heloise is a classic...a tragic love story.

My absolute favorite is "A Knight In Shining Armor" by Jude Deveraux. The characters seem so much more real than in other books I have read, and the ending was not what I expected. Plus, it has to do with time travel, which I love reading about.
