Rat Poison Was Found In All The Recalled Pet Foods

I have just read that rat poison was the cause for the recall on pet foods. It is so scary, our pet food should be safe, I feel so bad for the dogs who got sick and died from this. I feel bad for the people who lost the animals they loved due to this also. I think it may be better to just cook for our animals, even though it may be expensive, it may definetly be the safer choice. Here is the link for the article:

I know, I couldn't believe it either.
They think the wheat gluten from China may have had the rat poison on it. It is truly unbelievable. Hey, maybe we should start our own home made dog food company, I know the animals would appreciate it.

i'm tempted to.i'd leave the dyes out of the foods while i'm at it.i've had animals sensitive to them before.

that is absolutely terrible. my mother in law has been feeding her cat the food that has been recalled. it hasn't killed it but she said her cat has been acting very funny. hopefully they get this straightened out.

It is terrible. I hope your mother in law's cat is ok, did she call the vet or take it to the vet? The article said the good thing about knowing it is rat poison is because it will help veterinarians treat the animals now.
