By what name do you call your family My grankids call me Grammy,Grandma They can my husband Grampeee,Gramps My kids call my husband's mother Grams or Grammy and his father has been dead for years but the older kids called him Grampa They didn't know my mom but called my Da Grandfather ,or Grampa My mother was Ma,Momma,Mumsy Dear,Mom,mama My father was Da,Daddy,Papa,King of father-town( given by my bro and me after a trip to storytown) My Ma's mother was Gran,Grandmother but most often Grandmother Ma's father I never knew so only refer to him as grandfather Da's Mother was Granmama,Gram sit-britches(cause she didn't have wigglie-britches) Da's father died before I was born so again I refer to him as my grandfather Da's mother's second husband I referred to as Step-GranHarry.his name was Harry My Ma referred to me as Raydene Ethel always using both first and middle names unless I was in trouble then it was RayyyyDennnne!And sometimes pretty girl if I was especially good. My Da would call be Daughter like it was my name when he was telling me something worth me remembering,or Ray or Pretty-gal(Da used to say I had the prettiest blue eyes of the family but not to tell the others) My Granmama mostly called me by my name or Grand-daughter,or Wigglie-Britches(I did hate to sit still as a child) My Ma's mother was stern,strict,kinda mean lady that made Mama cry because of the hurtful things she would say when she visited.I would avoid her like the plague but when she did speak to me she spoke my name like she was swearing or spitting out dirt!She was not my favorite person .I had to ask my bro to pinch me hard so I could cry at her funeral cause I thought it my duty(I was only 9) Alot of my hubbiy's friends call me Pocahontas because I'm part indian and sometimes wear braids in my long hair . My ole 60,70's friends and my husband call me Gypsy. some friends call me Ray/Rae or Raydeneee. One of my best buddies calls me Lovey(joke -Gilligan's Island) My kids call me Mom,Mommy,Mums,Mama,Mother I won't go into the bad names I've been called. So what are yours. Names are fun I have nick names for all my children
