Have you ever heard of Nikola Tesla? Even though he is not mentioned as much as Thomas Edison,he was alongside him the greatest inventor of that age. I think a lot of geniuses get lost in history, because they are often so eccentric and therefore get brushed off as insane. I think now that we know better we should start giving credit to the great minds of the past, that helped us along the path of progress. Here is a little article on Nikola Tesla http://www.forteantimes.com/articles/217_tesla_1.shtml

I have studied and read about Tesla and the things he came up with this man was a true genious. He made Einstein look like a child. I have also read about the smeer campaign that Edison was on to discredit him and destroy GE. One of his biggest ambitions was to make electricity free and usable by everyone. Unfortunately a string of greedy partners and opposition kept him from completing what he wanted most. But he came up with so many modern inventions we use today and was never given any credit. During world war II he actually offered to build towers that would melt the engines right out of enemy aircraft. He was truely a genious way ahead of his time.
