How many browsers do you have in your pc?

There are lots of different web browsers for example Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Netscape, and Opera ! Internet explorer, has has recieved a lot of criticism for not being very secure in its default state, (although it is getting better). For the reason some people suggest using an alternative browser that has less known security issues. Under windows the alternatives come in three different categories: 1) Browsers based on Internet explorer eg Maxthon 2) Mozilla based eg FireFox 3) Opera

Hi sshazie! Thanks for responding. I, too, was a loyal internet explorer user for a time. Now, though, I've tried using other browsers as they have proven to be faster and more reliable in terms of bugs and cookies. I like Opera since it's really very fast. The interface is very user-friendly and I find it better to use than internet explorer. You should try it sometime :)

Hi thanks for responding to this thread! What's sbc yahoo browser? Can you download that for free? I used to like Netscape but I found that it has become too slow compared to the other browsers so I had to delete it :( Mozilla's browser is free, isn't it?

Let me see: On Windows- IE7, Firefox2, Opera 9.20, Seamonkey, K-meleon, Flock, Avant, Webbie, Lynx. So that makes 9 browsers. On MEPIS Linux: Opera 9.20, Firefox, Konqueror, Dillo. So 2 more new browsers. On Xubuntu Linux: Just Firefox: I have just installed this on a partition. Of all these, I like Opera the best, and use it the most. Why?
