http://www.bookins.com/index.php?invite=1Mo7cY9cA I just found this on line, I have tons of books on the floor, in the bathroom and near my bed. Now I can trade or share them. You get points in return. It is worth a look! It is NOT a money making thing for me, just a way to share books I love or want!

Here are two other sites that trade books for free. www.thebookcart.com and www.bookmooch.com I am a member of each of these sites.

Both of these sites do not require a credit card. I have been a member of thebookcart for many years. I've been a member of bookmooch for about a month. thebookcart requires a 10 dollar deposit and bookmooch doesn't require any money at all.

How does it rate to Paperbackswap. Now that is a site I adore! I've gotten so many wonderful books that well as well as gotten rid of many. I'm not sure I've heard of Bookins. Is that the one that you have to pay postage when you request a book?

Thanks for sharing this site. I love reading books and my husband had already been hinting he is seeing it everywhere. Definitely this is worth a try. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for the info! I will definitely try this one out. My sister would use to donate the books we have already read, and would get some other ones that we'd like to read from 'freecycle'. She's actually here right now as I'm responding to your discussion, and she's also interested in the information. This is a great help because books, then, don't go to waste. Thanks again and happy reading!

Thanks for this site. I have a lot of old books and it's difficult to sell them on ebay with the postage so high. I almost never buy books new. Amazon has plenty of "used" copies in great shape or I check them out at the library. My library sometimes will even buy a new book for me as they have a budget that doesn't always get used up for that sort of thing.

Thanks so much for sharing, what a great idea. This sounds something like freecycle with a twist. I know my bookshelves are overflowing... but I really do have a hard time giving up books!

Looks like something definitely worth checking out? I have lots of books. I don't spend near the time reading I used to, but do still like to read. Thanks for posting the link!

Oh, dear. An easy way to get more books? I'm forever fighting the urge to bring home more books, but we have so many here that I still haven't read that I don't allow myself to bring home books unless I've borrowed them from the library. We have several used books stores here that I sell our books to when we are done with them. Don't get a lot from them, but I do get rid of them and get a few bucks back. I've been designating the book money and part of my pocket change to a vacation savings. It is amazing how fast it can accumulate if you don't check it everytime you add to it. Then there is a surprise when you do count it up. Now if they would just pay me to READ them, I'd really enjoy getting rich! That looks like a good site and I will send it to my family and friends. Who knows, maybe they will trade for a book to give me for Christmas! :-)

What a great site. Thanks so much for sharing. We too are overwhelmed by the amount of books that we have in our home. By the way, I almost didn't recognize you as one of my "FRIENDS" with the new avatar. It doesn't take much to throw me off track. LOL...have a good day !

Sounds like a site worth looking into. We moved about a year ago and I donated all the books I had at the time so I'm looking to replenish. I only saved a few and I find I'm reading them over and over. They are good books but I would like to have more.
