I want to trace my roots. I know a lot of people have been quite successful. What do you do when you have very little extra money to PAY someone to research this stuff for you and you also have very little starting information to begin with. Seriously folks, I only really have his name. Generalized birthdate, generalized region of Ireland... a lot of ??? What do you use to track your roots? Are there certain web sites? Libraries, records?
