Atheism and Agnosticism

This discussion is not meant to discredit or undermine the beliefs of anyone who is religious, but is rather meant to be a candid little debate between any Atheists and Agnostics there are. Of course anyone is welcome to contribute. Agnosticism does not worship any particular entity, rather it states that there is a possibility of a god-like entity existing in the world, however minute. However with no scientific proof towards the existance of any such god, the evidence of God possibly existing is no more then the evidence of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, yet I have not heard of a single Agnostic who gives as much credit to the possible reality of fairy tales as to the existance of God. So my question to the Agnostics out there is what makes the possibility of a god existing any greater and more worthy of consideration then the reality of fairy tales or even to take an extreme example, the flying spaghetti monster?
