How old where your kids when you decided to return to work after maternity leave?? I had a baby six months ago and I have finally decided to return to work. I had decided to stay at home and take care of him and work from home and I am able to make $200-$500 a month working from my home but I think its time that I go back to working for a full time income. But I am having trouble being separated from my son. I returned to work last week on Wednesday but I had him on my mind all day that when I had my lunch break I just went home and I did it on Thursday and Friday. Anyone out there have the same problem?? Any suggestion on how to deal with separation anxiety??? thanks!!

It is difficult leaving a little person for the first time. I think it is better to work only part time at first until you get so that your feelings are a little steadier. I waited until my sons were 3 before I started back on a part time basis. I still felt the anxiety but my peace of mind was better easing in and not trying to go full time all at once.

I only had 60 days of maternity leave to take care of my baby full time. Going back to work was something I hated to do and I dreaded it from the day I laid my eyes on my beautiful baby. But mommy has to help daddy earn a better living. The first day I got back to work I called my nanny 5 times. I wanted to know what my baby was doing and which part of the house she was staying. I wanted to make sure that she was properly fed, and that her diaper is changed every 6 hours at least, and that she was given her vitamins. Oh, I was crazy and I needed sometime to get used to not being with my baby 24/7 like I used to.
