Has anyone ever said this to you? I think it stems from insecurity on their part. MAybe they think, if I tell her this she'll believe it and be scared to leave me, do you agree? I mean, come on, no one actually believes that someone cant get someone better than them do they? And if they do they certainly wouldnt have to say it right?

Well coming from a really bad relatinship 3 years back I can honestly say I have said that statement and it was true. I was with my ex for 3 years and we had alot of ups and downs. She always use to complain and cheat on me saying all kinds of sh*t about me but in the end I could'nt take no more and that was the last thing I said to her before I kicked her out. I was right I found a girl who I have been with for about 3 years now and Im very happy with her and she has so much more going for her. The odd time when Im talking to friends back home I hear little things about the ex and lets say if she thought things where bad with me I bet she's really sorry now because sh'e had nothing but hard and bad times. As for having the right to say it well it is kind of harsh to hear but really in the heat of the moment its hard to control what comes out of someone's mouth and besides that they are only words right like the saying go's stick and stones!

Yea, in that instance, I guess you're right. I meant though, when you are in a relationship and having an argument and you are still together, not in an instance like that. But congrats on the girl! I am glad things are good for ya!

The last words my ex- said as he walked out the door - you will really miss me when I am gone. You will see. I did more then you realize....I stopped listening.. My son was 7, he is now 21, I have not yet begun to miss him. I think he was wrong.

I did have someone say this to me once, and I broke up with her right there on the spot. I don't let anyone talk to me this way, especially someone who is supposed to love me. Saying things like this is the way people who know they don't deserve what they have try to keep it. If they say that, what you should really hear is "I'm not good enough for you. Get out now."
