Positive thinking spreads love, appreciation, optimism, security, courage, cooperation, compassion, generosity, friendliness, patience helpfulness and ambition., negative thinking is being out of step with people and things around you.. Positive thinking is being in step, in harmony with people and things around you. Negative thinning becomes habitual and the stress it causes becomes chronic. Chronic stress is a killer. When you hold negative attitudes for prolonged periods, chemical changes take place in your body. A stress chemical is released into the blood which inhibits the work of the immune system apparently by confusing and a awakening the system. In these circumstances, health problems start to build up. But positive feeling about yourself and the work you are doing leads you to be optimistic rather than pessimistic, contributing thereby to your health. This is better for your health and ultimately, your survival. Do right and your health thrives. Do wrong and your health suffers. Life is not always so closely under our control but our minds are or should be under our control .

I believe it does, if you are always looking at the positive of everything positive things will happen in return, therefore if you are always looking at negative even when a positive comes around you still view it as negative.

I think it depends on what you're trying to get it to work on...LOL Positive is always better than negative. Unfortunately, we don't always get our way-so, at those times, you have to realize that there's a higher power and there "positively" must be a reason that we didn't get what we wanted.

Are you saying that what we think is positive may not be positive to a higher power such as God. It is true that God does know what is best for us.

My grandmother used to say, "You can't see around the next corner, but God can." I do believe that some things we think are positive, actually are not-or at least at the time we think they are. And yes, I do believe God knows what's best for us.

But what is success. There are so many definitions for success that it would be hard to give a precise definition for success. It means different things to different people. So thinking positive may not make you as rich as Donald Trump but you could still be successfull in that you can pay your bills, you have a place to live, food to eat, a car, etc. So thinking positive is also relative to whom you are talking. :)

Yes, it works, at least in my case :) There had been times when I had only positive thinking to save myself from difficult situations. Now I have become an incurable optimist:) I have also noticed that positive thinking draws a lot of good friends to your life.

I agree. Positive thinking over a period of time makes you an optimist. Also people would rather be around a positive person than a negative person

I guess it works. At least in my case, it has. It is not a question about results, but how you feel about the entire process. If you have positive thinking, you never feel bad about what you have done. You might not have succeeded, but it leaves you enough energy to go on.

I think positive thinking does work. If you start looking at the up side of things you start to realize how blessed you truly are. The only thing negative does is pull you into the dumps.

It is very important to think in a postive way, in doing this ,we will always have motivations to do something and we will not give up no matter what happen, I believe we will finally get somethign done if we have positive thinking, if not we will loss our motivations and will give up when bad things happen.

I think positive thinking always allows for positive energy to run through your body and soul. Positive energy allows you to make better decision than negative energy or thoughts. I also think you do not heal as well unless you stay on the positive. So yes I think the force of positive thinking always works, no matter what.

Well, although most people keep telling us to always be positive and look at the positive aspect and side of any situation, good OR bad.. however, i feel that even though positive thinking helps solve conflicts and problems, we should not literally ignore the negative sides and also consider them. Ummm,.. no.. i went off topic and said something else, taking it for something else. Anyway, basically, i'd say.. i feel that positive thinking helps in every situation, and it's always good to think positive then negative!

Is it possible when considering the negative side that it could result in a positive action?

sorry but i can not agree with you that a force of a posotive thinking is always work ,because if we doing any work ,then before doing this we can be consider their postives points and their negative points after that we can decide that what to do. if we doing work without any consideration by taking a postive thinking in a mind then many i have phases a problems. bye

In my opinon, the force of positive thinking doesn't work at all. I don't care how positive I am, if I can't afford to pay rent, that doesn't usually change. Phone's going to get shut off, it usually does. I understand that thinking positive can have an effect on a person and the consequences, so I do try to think positive, but if I need something to get done, it's action, not thinking, that gets it acomplished. But that's just my 2 cents.

You make a valid point that thinking without action gets nothing accomplished. But doesn't positive thinking lead to action and negative thinking lead to inaction?
