Yup! Rice Terraces in Benguet, located in the Northern part of Luzon, Philippines. For 2,000 years, the high rice fields have followed the contours of the mountain. The fruit of the knowledged had been handed down from one generation to another and the expression of sacred tradition. they have helped to create a landscape of beauty that expresses the harmony between humankind and the environment. Look at its picture. Isn't that a real wonder? only in the Philippines!!!

IS this really a rice terraces in Benguet? or are you referring to the rice terraces in Banawe Ifugao. Ifugao is not Benguet nevertheless, it is part of cordillera region, I am from Benguet but have not heard of that rice terraces you have mentioned. Anyway, that's good news if there is.

May I make a correction GS, the rice terraces which was considered the 8th wonder of the world and now a UNESCO heritage site is located in Banaue, Ifugao. It is like about 12 hours away from Benguet. I'm not quite sure. When I went there, I went to Sagada and to Banaue via Bontoc road. If you will be going from Manila via Ilocos region route, I think it will be faster. It has lost it's status due to erosion in the site and non-protection. Still, if you visit the place, you will be amazed by it's history and touched by how people in the old times made an effort to make it real.

I think it's not 7th because there are only 7 original wonders of the ancient world. And many other places also claim that their place is the 8th including the Banaue Rice Terraces.
