If you could start over again.. how far would you go back?

If there was one situation that you could go back and redo, what would it be? It's that ONE situation that determines the paths you take in the future. Not an "erase your past" kind of thing, but if you could redo something over again; a relationship, highschool.
I think if there was something I could redo, I'd redo my relationship with someone I was very close to, that I just recently lost because we couldn't co operate enough to make it work. I would've tried harder to make things right long before they got too out of control.

maybe its not too late
I would have taken 5 years to finish my degree, instead of only 2.
I'm inept at social things anyway mostly. Its like I wait and hope. Not knowing what to do even when I know exactly what and who I want.

unfortunately it is too late.. we still talk, it's just hopeless to rebuild our relationship. I don't have the emotional capacity to do it again, incase I get hurt.
