Do you ever type "LOL" when you didn't really LOL?

I admit I've done this. But some people type "LOL" so much that I've lost confidence that they're being honest at all. I mean, nobody could be sitting at their computer and just laughing all the time. ;)

Naively I used to think LOL meant lots of love! But soon was set straight. Sometimes even if someone makes me smile widely I'll use LOL to acknowledge the humor in a persons post and to meet their humor with an effective response. If the post is really funny and I'm laughing heaps I'll add a few hahaha's too. But that's the extent of my LOL's. If it's not funny you won't get one.

That's so sweet! I do that too. LOL is kinda funny, but ROFL, or LOL coupled with some heehees and hahas is really funny. The one I never got was LOLOLOLOL. What the heck is that? Lough out loud out loud out loud out loud?

Interestingly enough I have to admit that I have repeatedly typed "lol" even when I have not actually been laughing! Actually the more i think about it, I would have to say that most of the time this is the case..... I guess it is just an acknowledgment that someone has attempted to say something that is somewhat amusing, coupled with habit!

Instead of LOL being Laugh Out Loud, it should be Laugh Out Long. Right? I use LOL limited, but I've met with a person in a public chat who was writing LOL all the time.

I used to have an online friend who was LOL so much I worried about her. ;) She also used to use LOTS of exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seemed like everything she said was extremely exciting and I was often quite exhausted after reading one of her emails.

Yes I admit I type it alot and I even have to admit I proly look like a complete nut but I do sit at my computer laughing. I have read things and laughed so hard I had tears so I dont know maybe I am a little nutty.
