have you recieve a notice from e-gold stating that your account will be suspended if you don't re-update your account information? the account will be suspended for 24 hours and eventually be terminated. is it true?

its a wrong move for you to update your account, they may get your information through this, it might be a phishing email.

This sounds like a phishing attempt to me in order to get your e-gold information. I sometimes get emails from Paypal asking the same thing but I never take action on them from any link in the email. I would check with e-gold to see if they sent or send out such emails.

just be reminded that e-gold.com does not send emails with links and asks for vital information. i made a thread linking to a page(not mine) where many e-gold fraud email samples are displayed. you may want to check it out.

It looks like phishing. Don't respond to this mail and inform e-gold about it.

Any information or instruction that you get by e-mail will also be displayed in the original site, so always log in to your account independently and check before giving out any vital information.
