I don't agree to this statement..It's as if you're giving conditions..Isn't proper that if you love someone, love him/her unconditionally?..If you truly love the person, you won't mind if he/she loves you back..and you should be happy with things that make him/her happy...

i agree with you sweetangie26. love should be unconditional. the line is so conditional. why just love that person if he will love you? like you are just playing safe. to love someone is just like risking, too. but because you are inlove, you wanna risk it all without asking too much in return from that person you love the most.

This not love. There no give n take in love. In my view, if someone says like this to you. He/She is not loves you. Thanks.

honestly,i don't like the sound of that line "love me and i will love you back." sounds like a person is forcing me to love him. or, he will love me only and only if, i love him first. for me, i want to love a person even if i don't expect much from him to love me back the way i love him. i pour out my love to that person and i don't ask for anything back. if he'll love me, too, it's one great happiness for me. if not, then, atleast, i am able to show that person how much i care.

It doesn't sound right, this can't really be love, just paying it back or returning a favor?!! I wouldn't be happy if someone told me that and I would want to move on and find someone how will love me no matter what, not (love me back :)

Love is not a give and take policy.. it is something which happens without your knowledge. you will have to do verything to make your loved one happy. without expecting anything... then your partner automatically without wantingly starts love you and care for you.. try this once

I guess love must be unconditional, it would be better to be: love me and i will always love you, or better: love me and i will never stop loving you.. I think you can't still be devoted to someone who doesn't love you even if you will always have the emotion.

I don't think it's proper to tell this to a person whom you dont' really love. It's like saying you have to love me first before I will love you right? What if the person does love you and no matter how much he have loved you, you still coudln't find it in your heart to honestly love him. That's the sad part of it. Not anything can be arranged or can be kept as you promised. So just don't make promises you can' fulfill. coz in the end you might just hurt somebody, and that somebody could also be you.
