What are your opening day traditions?

Baseball season is right around the corner. Many people get more excited about opening day than they do Christmas. What kind of opening day traditions do you have? Four of my buddies and I always take the day off work, get decked out in our Cubs gear, and either go to the game, or if the Cubs aren't in town, we'll buy a couple cases of Old Style (only in support of the team for that's a nasty beer), lounge in front of the big screen, and talk baseball all day long, while eating my patented mound of Nachos. Poker tends to follow in the evening.

We never usually went out to the opening game. We would always have a mini party and gather around the tv a half hour before game time. We would always sit there and argue with my dad.he's the most pessimistic fan I have ever seen,so he would be badmouthing the phillies and of course we would come to their defense and this would continue til game time. Even though it's just me and my dad at home now,we still continue the tradition this season.I'm sure we will get in quite a heated argument during our mini party

Isn't that funny? My dad's the same way, as are many of my buddy's fathers. It'll be the second inning, we'll only go down one run, and according to Pop, "The season's over!" Not the game (with 7 innings to go), but the whole season. It's crazy, but nobody can tell baseball stories better than dad.
