How do you spend your birthday (inexpensively)

Well today is my thirty-third birhtday. My wife managed to get me a great gift without going too much into debt. She bought me a barbeque and my family went in on it with her. usually she goes crazy and we end up another $500 in debt.
I was just wondering how others celebrate their birthday and how much or how little it ends up costing?

first, Happy Birthday to you! I normally just stayed home and wait 'til my friend called up and asked to treat me. hehe. Not just inexpensive but I save money too.:) But it seldom happens so on my birthdays which i am the one who'se gonna pay for the bill, i just treat them for a simple dinner but before ordering, i will tell them my budget and they will pay for the excess amount just in case. :)

Thanks for the response, it's nice to get a "happy birthday" from someone, even if you don't really know them.
