My son is 2yr old and he hates to drink milk from the day his mother ( my wife ) stopped him from breastfeed. We made him stop breastfeed at the age of 1yr and this makes us feel bad as he hates drinking milk and we are very much bothered as he is very leen and even he does not eat anything full. Can anyone help us.

Yes, give him flavoured milk... banana, strawberries, chocolate, any sort of fruit. I'm sure he will enjoy the different flavours... most kids do. In fact, my granddaughter wouldn't take milk any which way at that age. All she would drink was juice, so apple juice was the order of the day, and although it doesn't replace milk, she is now, at age 15 very healthy and has a good figure. So, I wouldn't worry too much about your child's intake of milk... just try him with one flavoured milk per day and see how it goes. You can make the shakes from fresh fruit in your blender, and I'm sure they'll do him the world of good. Brightest blessings... I hope this helps.

You got it! I'm sure he'll take to it with a different flavour. Good luck.

Does he eat cereal? My kids love cereal and they use a lot of milk in each bowl. Also, not that cookies or teddy grahams are the best choice to eat with a glass of milk, but if he can dip his cookies or even put the teddy grahams in the glass of milk, pretend they are swimming, make it fun and maybe he will drink the milk then. My kids like chocolate milk, and icecream shakes too. Good Luck : )

Why are you so worried about him drinking milk? It is completely unnatural for children to drink milk once they are weaned. As long as he is eating a good selection of fruit, vegetables, pulses, nuts and seeds then he has a perfectly healthy diet. It is much better that he isn't overweight. It is easier to stay slim as you get older if you were slim as a child. Don't feel that it is your fault that he doesn't want milk. He is probably just trying to tell you that it isn't healthy for his body and he doesn't want it.
