Dentists? Love them or hate them?

I have to say I "hate" going to the dentist. So much in fact that I put off going for so long that I had no choice but to have a tooth pulled. I think I have now come to the conclution that I hate that worse! I have made it my mission to visit one again at least once a year ( may have been well over 5 yrs since my last visit.) But really the thought of going causes me a physical reaction that prevents me from seeing one. Does anyone else have this awful fear ("Hate") of going? I know people say they hate the dentist, but do you have the same physical reaction?
