You could have knocked me over with a feather the other day. My daughter came home from her friends house just raving about this NEW movie that she had watched over there. She was going on and on about Danny and Sandy.. humming the little songs to herself. It wasn't until she was getting near the end of the conversation and she started talking about how awesome it was that Sandy turned cool that it dawned on me. She'd been watching Grease!!! Oh my. When I asked her if that was the name of the show she was amazed. She was so happy that she'd seen a new movie before I did.. LOL.. I tried so hard to convince her that Grease was actually older than I am but she was not believing me. She ended up phoning her friends place and talking to her mom about the movie... LOL... She was stunned when she found out that although it was NEW to them the movie was in fact very old and her friend's mom told her the same thing that I did.. that we'd both seen the movie years ago when we were just little girls. I remember loving that movie and now my daughter loves it just as much as I did. I think that's so great.

Hi, I remember loving Grease when I was little, me and my friends used to make up 'routines' to the songs and we were forever singing the songs - I'm sure it drove my mom potty.(I can't believe I've just admitted to that lol) I come across your situation quite often as cover versions of old songs come out and my daughter swears it 'the bands own songs' so then it turns out I know virtually all the words she soon changes her mind.

That is cute. I liked Grease alot myself. I think it came out in the 70's. I still like watching it when it comes on tv. John Travolta was so good looking in this movie and still is.

Yup! Grease is the word, imsilver. I was in high school when it was shown here in the Philippines and I remember I watched it about 8 times and also bought the soundtrack! I think I memorized all the songs from beginning to end. I've already seen Saturday Night Fever but Grease is where I really fell for John Travolta with his dimpled chin and dreamy eyes. He was really cool and such a good dancer. I was so envious of Olivia Newton-John for being his leading lady.
