how much is the rate (pay) of web designers?

im located in the philippines and im kinda wondering how much does web designers make (in pay)? im doing some self-study about web designing and im hoping i could use this knowledge in the future how much is the pay for non-professionals and professional designers?

I depends on so many factors. You just design the site, or you also code it, can you do Flash animations, JavaScripts, php, implement SQL solution, do you make original graphics on the site and so on. Can you have your customer to easily update information on web, or they need to pay for you to make the neccessery updates. Hoe many pages will be and so on. You take care of servers and backups of the site, or it's done ny someone else. I think overall starting package, where customer gets design, server space, daily backups, site construction with SQL and php support is somewhere from 400€+monthly costs to 2000€+monthly costs. Doing such a work as freelance, may pay u better or worse, I think it's up to yuor negotiating skills.

I'm currently going to school for web design, I'm not sure how much we'd make professionally yet. But right now I currently charge about $100-200 a site because I'm still a student. I have 2 sites up right now that are mine and I've worked on a few others. getempooch.com mindshock.net
