Before, I tend to generalize a lot especially when it comes to men because I had seen how my friends had been hurt by them. Now, I have learned that people are different from one another and that not all men are the same. There are still a few good men, so to speak. I think generalizing stems from one's experiences. In an effort not to get hurt, or not to be misled easily, people tend to generalize and follow their instincts. It could be a defense mechanism, and could work for some people, but I think it's still best not to generalize too much. Even rules have exceptions. Happy myLotting!
