Do you sometimes generalize?

do you think about something and think of all of them the same like some women think that all guys are cheaters and that they are all the same and unfaithful when it comes to relationships.

Before, I tend to generalize a lot especially when it comes to men because I had seen how my friends had been hurt by them. Now, I have learned that people are different from one another and that not all men are the same. There are still a few good men, so to speak. I think generalizing stems from one's experiences. In an effort not to get hurt, or not to be misled easily, people tend to generalize and follow their instincts. It could be a defense mechanism, and could work for some people, but I think it's still best not to generalize too much. Even rules have exceptions. Happy myLotting!
