I was at another discussion that made me think of this. If you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend that you do. But I recommend you watch it when your kids are not around, it is an extremely adult content movie. It will scare you enough to watch your child's every single move they make on the internet. I saw it about 8 years ago and it left a lasting impression on me. It's about a man who visits chatrooms and gets kids and adults to meet him. He tortures them in ways most people would never want to think about. He sewed their mouths and eyes closed. He peirced them all over thier bodies. I'm sure you get the picture. So how closly do you watch your kids while they are on the net.

I think it was my discussion that you are referring to ;-) I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to just because you've mentioned it! I have 5 kids, but I don't allow them on the internet at all! There are just too many things that they can "stumble" on! Thanks for bringing this movie to my attention! Have a great day! :-)

No it wasn't yours but you did respond to it. It was the one about people using their kids pics for avatars. Now I'll have to go check yours out to see what it's about. Your welcome. Like I said it's very adult content. It scared the ?????? out of me. Have a great night:)

Hi honey - don't give me a row - I'm to tired and sore, couldn't sleep, so thought I'd get up for a little while and see what you are up to! This film sounds really scary - never seen it but have heard of it! We have full parental controls on my sons computer and as it is linked to ours we can check what he is doing at any given time - I also regularly check the history to look around where he has been! I think the most important thing is that we have also talked a lot about how you can disguise your real identity on the internet and how dangerous it would be for a 13 yr old to arrange to meet or to give out details of where he lives or goes to school etc could be online! As for Niamh she checks her email (at 5 this is comical!) and some web sites but always supervised - the only thing sshe does on her own on the pc is to draw or write or play games that are installed but as she gets older I'll worry more - she's just like her mother, stubborn!

If you watch that movie you might not ever let her on the net. No rows it's almost 5 there. As long as you got a little rest.

I saw this movie a few years ago. You're right, it does make you want to know exactly what your kids are doing online and exactly who they're talking to. It's a shame there are psychos in the world that we have to be so protective. But as long as my daughter is safe, I don't care if I'm going to be protective.

I drive my daughters and their friends crazy because I am always watching them. That movie is exactly why I do this. I'm not taking any chances.

I have that movie! Very graphic and brutal movie. My sons are really young (6 and 3) so they can only play games on the computer. But once they are allowed on the internet I will be watching them like a hawk!

I seen this movie its made by the lead singer of twisted sister, yes I was a metal head back in the 80's. I originally watched it only because Dee Snider did it. It is some very disturbing sceens. No my kids arent allowed to use any messenger services and in part because of having seen this movie.

Oh don't feel bad hubby is still a metal head. The only reason I saw the movie was because of him. He wanted to see it for the same reason as you. I let my kids use the net and messengers but I am right here watching them because of that movie. So have you seen the movies Zombie did?

I have never seen the movie, but maybe I will check it out sometime, this is the first time I have ever heard of it. Anyhow, I have 3 children and they all are allowed to play games online. I have my computer in the livingroom and my children are not allowed on the computer unless I am home. They are good about this, they don't ever just get online without asking b/c they know that if they do...then they will no longer be allowed to get on the computer. I can see everything they are doing when they are online. I have their passwords to their accounts in which they use to chat to people. My oldest isn't happy about that..but if they are going to be on here talking to people I will know who they are talking to. They are not allowed to add anyone to their freinds list except for their friends that they know in person. It is a dangerous world out there. Thanks for your post. Have a great day/night.

You have to be into horror movies or know someone who is. It was written and directed by the lead singer of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider. He had a hard time getting it released due to how graghic it was. I commend you some parents think because they have parental controls, everything will be okay. I have all my daughters passwords too. Mine are not happy either but they know I won't let them online other wise.
