i think you should be able to use the gift certificate to buy from amazon.com internationally.. however, do ensure whether the gift certificate can be redeemed against shipping charges as well.. you wouldn't want to end up paying more than the product's worth just for shipping :-) ======== http://www.movmojo.com .. your online store for all things movie!

I buy quite a lot of dvds and books both from amazon.co.uk and amazon.com I also buy a lot of goods from the Amazon Marketplace sellers and quite a lot of these will ship internationally. I haven't used any gift certificates but usually when I go to pay for an item, I am told to key in my gift certificate number if I have one. Hope this is of some help to you.

If it is a decent enough gift certificate you could probably sell it on e-bay and then use that money on whatever you want.
