Stuborn and pig headed

Ok this question is for people in relationships. How do you deal with a spouse/s.o who's headstrong, stubborn and pig headed? I swear I make no head way with mine and I have no idea how to. She's gonna run herself dry and won't listen to reason. Outside of sedating her I have no clue how to get her to calm down and relax. She's got that I have to do it attitude and won't let anyone tell her otherwise. Any ideas outside of tying her down to something to make her sit longer than 5 mins?
