I received the same email saying I won a lottery in Nigeria. When I talked to a friend who lives there, there was no lottery with the information given in my email. Checking the details of the authenticity of the email and info saved me from hoax. Girl, It always pays to inquire first the authenticity of the mail. Is it for real? If your not sure, you can browse it through the internet.

This is known as a Nigerian 419 Scam (I think it's 419) A LOT of similar e-mails originate like this, mostly out of Nigeria, telling you that you have a LOT of money coming to you, but you have to pay a tiny bit first. The story is always something like: A Lottery Ticket you never bought An inheritance they can't receive without it being wired to your account first - of which you get to keep a large percentage. etc
