Image Thumbnails not showing in 'File Open Dialog'...

I've got an odd problem here, When I try to open an image with with the windows 'File Open Dialog' I can't see the Thumbnails. It just shows part of the file name like 'image1..' 'image2...' 'image3...' which is most useless. The default view is set to thumbnails This only happens in the file open dialog, the thumbnails work fine in windows explorer
