No, you are ok...I just had that (swollen glands/nodes) (not to sound scary) but i had it for 6 weeks!! I was exhausted and ended up getting 2 courses of meds and dragged myself to several drs...but the good news is---that i am feeling much better, the swelling has gone done and i am not so tired...so i believe the moral of the story is that it was a virus... if you cannot swallow for some reason or another......get to your dr or the local emerg asap! Otherwise put heat on it, that helped for me smiles

Thank you for making me feel not so scared about this. I actually went to the e.r. after i potsed this, they just gave me antibitotics. Due to no insurance and lack of money I have not gotten them yet. I will be able tol do that in a few days. But I found out at my work yesterday that one of my co workers have been out for the last week and a half. He had a swollen lump under his ear, and he had the mumps. OMG, I got really scared. If it were the mumps I would think that I would have a fever or sore throught or sonething else. But like you I am starting to think it is just a virus. So again I thank you for responding to my message.. Mandy
