i use to give to salvation army when i did my spring cleaning. now though i try to find people that really need it and i give it away insted. i have a reason though or at least i think it is a good reason. i had just went and bought all my kids school cothes for the first part of the year. my husband got fired and well we ended up moving to a new state. rent was cheaper and wanted better school for the kids. we moved from dallas to a small arkansas town. when we got there i found out they had to have uniforms and we had no money for it. we were looking for jobs , just paid rent, deposits, etc. i went to salvation army and asked for help they told me i could have 1 pair of pants and 1 shirt for each kid. i was greatful for it. they sent me to there thrift store to pick it out. when i got there they had so much uniforms for kids it was a better selection then walmart. they were priced more then walmart too. they were far from new as well. i started thinking wow they make a killing off of people giving them thingsd then selling it. after that is when i would find a family having a hard time or something and they needed it and i would give it to them. what do you do though?

I give things to Goodwill because my mother used to work for them. I try to give only good quality stuff, but I have very little. Most of the things I have are very worn out.

Neither, i tend to get things second hand, so by the time I'm done with them, they are worn out and only useful for rags.
