Do you have neighbors kids playing outside or under your windows?

Do you live in an apartment and the neighbors' kids play outside your apartment, or in the parking lot? The manager's grandchild likes to ride his skateboard up and down our small parking lot right under my window. It is so loud! And, he likes to "jump" it off of things, so you constantly hear the board hitting the ground.

No my neighbors kids dont usually do that but you can sometimes see them walking and playing in the drive way which doesnt bother me because I am in the hosue and cant hear them....if you have a problem with it you could call the person that owns that building and tell them about it and that you would like it stopped or that you would leave...and you dont have to give your name or anything....and then no one would be mad at you or anyhting and you woudl still get what you wanted the kid to stop playing on his skateboard under your window!

Actually, the kid riding on his skateboard is the manager's grandson and she would definitely know it was me who called. It's not a big building and there are only a few apartments that border on the parkinglot. I've complained about things "anonymously" before and they've always seem to know it was me.

I've got better then that. My neighbour's son used to kick a ball up agains their wall and it was so loud it would sound as though he was kicking it against MY wall. I also get people sitting on my windowsill or leaning against our garden door. It drives the dogs mental, but there is a bus stop there so I can see why they do it. Unless the dogs are going berserk, or they are blocking the way when my kids are trying to get in, I don't mind.

Thanks. I try to keep in mind that they're not doing it deliberately to drive me nuts. Though, I hate it when you ask them not to do it and they just ignore you. In this case, it's the manager's grandchild and she gets mad even when you say anything about any kid around here, not just her own.

My sister in law who lives next door and has teenage daughters seems to be a magnet for a bunch of kids and they play basketball, play fight, ride skate boards, scooters, four wheelers and enjoy themselves bye hooting and hollering and they leave their trash where they are at that time. So yes it annoys me sometimes. They can get loud since I have to leave my windows open to get fresh air. And when they crank that music up full blast it vibrates your windows. Music that you never think would even sell much less be popular. sounds like screaming instead of singing just rakes on my nerves. I have to shut the windows and it has been so hot lately.

He he! I know exactly what you mean. Where I live, there are actually very few kids that actually live here. We have a small pool and in the summer, all these kids we've never seen before come out and scream at the top or their lungs. They jump in the pool over and over and over again! My apartment is so hot that I can't shut the window and the air conditioning is inefficient.

We live in a duplex and the lady next to us has a teenage boy that likes to play football in our yard, not his, but ours with some of the other neighbor boys and they are out there with the loud rap music and cussing up a storm! I hate it and my kids are used to that kind of behavior. I've complained but it doesn't do any good because the boy is the boss of that house. The mother does what the boy tells her to do.

Ugh! I can understand that because I've been there. There are some parents that don't want to deal with their kids for whatever reasons. Complaining about it never does anything, in fact, when I do, I'm often told that I should move. People don't seem to want to deal with any conflict at all.

I live about 8 miles out of town and my only neighbors are my parents and my grandmother. We have more problems with adults riding by with their music thumping. That drives me absolutely insane.

I know how that feels! I don't know if people realize how loud their music is and how far it travels out in less populated areas. When I travel in our backcountry, I always listen to a Christian radio station that plays out there.

But, what if you don't have any kids at all? Would you like the noise, still? Don't get me wrong, a lot of people like the sound of children yelling and screaming all the time.

Yeah, when I first moved here, it was a mostly senior building and was very quiet. Then, they went with a new management company and it got extremely noisy. I would move if it wasn't the fact that I don't have a lot of money as well as the hassle of moving by itself.
