Does anyone know if Omega 3 vitamin supplements cause you to get fat? I have started taking Omega 3's for about 2 months now, and I'm not sure if it is causing me to put on a bit of weight. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have no experience with these. However I did a search for you and all the evidence seem s to suggest that these do not cause weight gain. It suggests that there may be an underlying cause. Perhaps not eating correctly, lack of exercise or something that might need medical attention. Whichever it is, I recommend you visit your doctor and explain your concerns and weight gain. The doctor will be able to advise you further. Good luck.

Ah, Effexor! That's definitely the more likely culprit.

Well my doctor is going to send me off to see a dietician. I think its my Effexor that is causing the wait gain... So will see.

I guess they could be, but they've never caused a problem for me that way.

I've been supplementing with Omega 3s for about a year and a half.
