Have you experienced that your computer got virus? How did you get over it? How true is it that computer virus makers are hired by software companies for them to earn a lot of money and make programs that prevent these viruses?

I think I never got a real bad virus onto my computer system. I have Norton systemcheck on it and I renew it timely. Sometimes there comes up a sheet telling me that an attacker is blocked or so. Or sometimes I hear someone else got a Trojan inside of the system. I am always careful not to open up any attachments I got through the email. That keeps the system running better also. I dont believe the software companies hire people who are making computer viruses. I think thats just a hoax, something that is not true. Just pay the fee to protect your system and you are done!

I heard what you said about computer virus makers too. I experienced many times that my pc got viruses. Gotting viruses is so boring and frustrating and my final solution is to change operating system, so last years i definitely switched from windows to Linux. Now I'm very happy and relaxed because Linux is virus free and has a lot of advantages respect to windows.

I was experienced computer viruses years and years ago while I was using Windows 98.Viruses infect the files in Win98 system easily. At that time,I was interested in writing Visual Basic codes.I wrote my code in the university and carried the source file into my computer by a simple disc. How I can know my files have viruses since I had not any antivirus program.Speed of my computer slowed down and I started to lose some files unwantedly. When I installed antivirus program,I faced with a message that my computer was infected by a virus called W95.CIH.I was surprised and excited,I didn'y know what I needed to do.I phoned one of my friends and told my issue. As an ultimate solution,I formatted by computer.I had still little hard disc lose. Thanks to my God,it doesn't effect the speed or functionality now.
