If you didnt know your real father would you look for him?

Ok my real dad left when I was young,4 I think I was? anyway he apparentally had children from a previous marriage and then had more children after he left so I have step brothers or sisters? or both? anyway he gave him his custody rights when I was very young and at that time he stopped all contact.I am now 30 with kids of my own and everyone always asks me why I havent tried to find him and well basically i figure if he wanted to know me he would have tried to contact mehimself and it really doesnt bother me whether I know him or dont and it honestly makes me sick that a father could just forget about his kids so i would never be able to forgive him if I did meet him again.What would you do?amd i being too harsh?

I think you have to look for him at least once or else it will haint you for the rest of your life. It does not matter whether you forgive him or not. The most important thing is that you have to know who he is.

But what if i know what sort of person he is and I dont like who he is? It is on my mind I guess but only because people ask me about it and dont understand my decision in not finding him.This man doesnt care about his own children not only me but i dont know how many,I could never do that to my own children and dont understand why anyone would.....
