I sometime feel that what we have been preached about god by our ancestors may not be completely true. If it was true, then we would not be seeing so many religions as we ses today. More than religions we are seeing too many "Swamy's" or human showing some miraculous powers. I have lost trust in all the previously conceived notions transferred from generation to generation. Whenever I feel like feeling god, I close my eyes and visualize complete darkness and in it I see a single source of light, emanating energy. I visualize myself reaching near this enormous energy and combine with it. It takes me around 5-10 minutes of this and I really feel as if I and the almighty are one and the same. Anyone with some different experience may share their views.

Good question. I find it hard to believe we are made in gods image in a literal sense. I hate getting into these debates cause people find it ok to pick and choose things in the bible or any religion than blast you if you differ from them on any level. I think god is something we cant understand and we grasp at like babbies trying to figure out the meaning of the cosmos. To me I think god is part of everything around us and in us. If you look at things around us as wonderful as they are than you can see the pure beauty of god.

Well said. I like people who think different and not stick to some old rules which doesnt make sense, like praying idols. I see god everywhere instead of in idols. When I hear music, i get involved in it fully and feel god is there. I see god in all things, whatever. Whenever I feel like asking god, I dont go to the idol, but think of the god and tell him, "You will show the way". And after he shows the way (He always does), I thank him in my mind. I would like to know how many are like me?
