"Today's Top Discussions" - How to get there?

Now that Mylot's got a major facelift that made everyone scream for joy like Michael Jackson's arrivals, this is a question that isn't answered very much... ...until now. I was remembering that one of my discussions somehow made it to "Today's Top Dicussions" earlier this year like it was the Top 10. (Luckily I saved it to my hard drive in .mht webpage format), and it was a rare sight to see indeed. It felt good as well. So now, how do people's discussions get selected to be a part of "Today's Top Discussions"?
