How's easter celebrated in your country? Here in Denmark some put up decorations, but it's not really something people are that much into... I know that it's quite a big deal in the US right?

I live in the United States and can tell you people here celebrate Easter in many different ways. In my family, we will spend the week before Easter doing church events such as a Seder Meal, a viewing of the movie "The Passion of the Christ" and Palm sunday services where the children carry palm branches into the church. On Easter Sunday my children will open their Easter baskets (Usually including candy, small toys and a book of Bible stories or a Veggie Tale movie) before attending a celebration church service. After, we will get together with more family for lunch and fun. We usually hide candy filled eggs in the yard and let the children find them. This Saturday there will be a city Easter egg hunt at our local nursing home. Volunteers will hide tons of candy filled eggs all over the yard at the nursing home. The Easter bunny will be in town to greet children and hand out treats too. After the candy hunt the children can share cookies and juice with the nursing home residents.
