I hate to go to the DR. Do You? I had to work at a Dr.'s office this week and I found myself tense the whole time I was there. I was surprised I was so tense. I finally realized I truly do not like even being in a Doctors office....What about you?

I usually become very nervous, especially at the dentist. I can't stand going to the doctor. I know that they are there to hurt me but as much as they tell you that you will only feel a little sting, it still hurts like hell. Dentist scare me more than any doctor, I think that this has a lot to do with the fact that I hate having medal in my mouth scraping against my teath. The tools that they use hurt my gums and teeth. I couldn't imagine working in a doctors office.

I used to be really nervous whenever I was in the doctors waiting room, it gave me a feeling of dread. Then by the time I went in to see the doctor I'd worked myself into such a state that I was always really upset. I think it must have been because at the surgery I used to belong the doctors were just really horrible! They used to make you feel guilty for coming to see them, they didn't like to give you any time and just rushed you through, and they were just generally insulting to people. So I think it was my bad experiences that made me feel so nervous, and their attitudes made me feel so guilty each time I went to the doctors!!! I moved house recently and joined a different surgery and I nearly cried with joy the first time I saw one of the doctors there, as she was just so nice! I've since found out that all the other doctors are lovely as well. They're so patient, they like to spend time talking to each patient and they're also really good with kids, and make a real effort not to make them scared of coming to the doctors either. So I know that my tenseness was because of the surgery I used to belong to. Maybe you've also had some bad experiences before with doctors and this is making you react like this. Good luck, I hope you manage to get over it.
