I have been having a tough time of it lately but I always take the time to count my blessings.I have so much to be grateful for, that by the time I think of all my blessings my troubles don't seem to be so bad.In hard times alot of people forget about what they have to be grateful for.I have my beautiful children,my wonderful friends,a roof over my head and food in my stomach.Yes financially things aren't good but I have many blessings in my life.Do you count your blessings? Or do you just grump about the things you don't have?.

I do count my blessing but definitley not as often as I should . I find when times get hard I find it harder to be grateful for all that I have as I do have a lot to be grateful for . I have wonderful children also and a wonderful husband , we have a roof over our head and all the esentials we need in life with a few extra's , although at times money may be an issue for the most part we are doing alright and many more that I could list if I had too .

I think if you take the time to be grateful for what you have life will be alot better.I rarely b*tch about what I don't have as I have so much, and I don't mean material things.

I have always counted my blessings and looked at the brighter side of things in life. I figured that there is no use in stressing over a problem or difficulty that I have no control of. So I raise my worries to the 'Big Man' upstairs, and let Him take care of them. We can only do so much as humans, and the rest is left to His loving grace. When people tend to focus on what they don't have, all the more they feel that they have less. But when we focus on what we have, we realize that we have so much than we have asked for. I used to have a diary where I write my blessings and the things that I'm thankful for on a daily basis. I was inspired by Oprah in one of her shows on how she keeps one too. It's a good practice that I'd like to pass on to my daughter. :)

It's so easy to grown and complain sometimes, but I do make a concerted effort to count my blessings. It does make things better for me when I do, and realize that things could be a lot worse. I have my family, my home, my job, food, friends, and love and so much more I can't even list them all.

Yes I aghree, even experts say that to pull yourself out of depression you should start writing down your blessings. I have often done so to make myself realise what all I am blessed with. there's a saying that I was unhappy that God had taken away my one finger but then I saw a man who had no hands and niether did he had any feet - I thanked God that he took just my one finger. I also try and thank god for minimul losses and not have to suffer anything major.

I count my blessings each and every day. Even though my life is not easy I appreciate that I have a husband and children who love me. Food in my pantry and a solid roof over our heads. I also have a father and a brother who love me and it is unconditional which is the main thing in life.

Right now I am having the 'worst' life I have ever had so far .. I'm poor, constantly ill, always in pain, forever fatigued and generally not got much going for me .. But ohhhh boyyy .. am I lucky .. it could all be so much worse .. I live in a country that gives me just enough to pay the bills if I'm very careful, medically I am looked after, and I can think for myself .. and that makes life wonderful .. there are soo many other poor souls so much worse off than me in this world ..

Dear it seems like a lot of people including myself have been having a tough time lately I wonder why?? but then again I do always count my blessings and yes you are right when people have hard times they seem to dwell on them and forget about all those wonderful times that they had and should be thankful and blessed. No I often think about the things I have been blessed with.

I'm so lucky in that at least once a day It comes home to me how contented and happy I am. My life is far from perfect, I have made many mistakes and suffered the consequences and am now alone. I have my home, which I enjoy and my animals whom I love dearly. The only thing that's really missing is a really good hug every now and then.

I'm afraid I am one of thos eunfortunates that often gets caught up in being so busy with dealing with the day to day that I rarely take time to take in the big picture. That unfortunately means that for the most part I tend to not count my blessings. I should try to slow down more and smell the flowers.

its complacency that we count our blessings. yes of course, we have to be self-satisified. but always thinking our blessings and forgetting our things-to-do doesn't seem to help anyways. so,its not imperative to forget our blessings but we have to prevent deferring our plans and start today forcefully

yes i do count my blessings not only in hard times but otherwise too.the thing is that one starts counting the blessings more during tough times. it soothes me,calms me down, gives me a reason to move on and makes that tough moment a bit simpler.

County our blessing is something that is hard for us to do. We are used to getting so much, so when things dont go the way we want to all the time we feel put upon. There are so meny people in the world who don't have we need to be greatful for what we do have.

Yes, ausnikki, people do not count the blessings they have when they are facing hard time. They considered themselves, they were not blessed one. You should be content with what you have, than that of greedy for more. Some people never get the satisfaction of what they have. They want to earn more and enjoy life adopting mean methods. Due to this greediness they lose many of their small happiness. I appreciate your way of thinking about life. By adopting thinking of your way, most of the people will feel content of their life and lead a happy life.

I also had a real tough time in year 2006 sometimes i used to feel frustrated n defeated ,it was difficult to just recall what all good things happened to me but still i satisfied myself that my count of blessings is much more than the bad time I had n it really worked.
