But I half to know, I have been on Mylot for 6 mos. I know that you are suppose to rate any discussion, the persons discussion right. at the top before you respond the is a + -! Ok when I reply to discussion I always rate my friends or whomever I reply too. when I make a discussion and someone replys I rate everyone, and I always give a + when I reply to friends discussion should I rate every indivisual? or just the person I reply too? I need to know because if I was suppose to rate everyone on my friends discussion, I have not been doing it. +

Per myLot policy this is what they say about rating discussions: Be sure to rate users’ discussions, responses, comments, and photos for the new myLot reputation system. The myLot reputation rating is decided by myLot users. Post discussions soliciting a response for a response for example “+” rating for a response. These are against our terms and will be deleted.

after the discussion that I post I usually tell everyone I give a plus is that wrong? or at end of discussions I put +++ is the wrong? if so I won't do it any more. They had never deleted my discussions for that though. but to be on safe side, I won't do it. I am trying to get 98 cent for tommorow, to get my 10.00 payout for tommorow but I don't think I will make it, because I have alot of things to do today, so It won't happen. I don't know I will experiment. just go to about 25 topics and write long long long replys. I will do it and see what happens.

It is never to late to ask. :-) You do not *need* to rate any response or discussion if you don't want. There is no rule that says you must or mustn't rate with a + or - or report. So it's entirely up to you. I would say, if you think a discussion/response is good, give it a +. If you think it's really that bad, give it a -. For anyone who responds to your discussion, I would want to give them a + if possible too. I give pluses to everyone who responds to my discussions (except spammers).

Don't worry there is no where written in the suggestions/guidelines that say you much rate others. By doing so you are participating and helping others. I think you are doing well and if you wish to take the extra time to help another that is performing within the guidelines then rate them. Good luck with this one.

After reading a discussion, I have made it a habit to rate it a plus before making my response. By this time therefore, I have given your discussion at hand a plus. Then, after posting my discussion, it depends upon me whether I rate the others who had responded ahead of me or not. At first, I thought that that is for the one who started the discussion to do. But since, these signs appear beside the responses of others, I understand that I can rate everyone I wish to. Do so if you wish to. I hope it will all be pluses you will be giving.

Good question. Me too I rate all people who answer my discussions with a plus. Sometimes I don't comment but I do rate as a way to say thank you. Now when I answer some one's discussion I rate the person who started the discussion with a plus but I never rated the other answers. The thought never came to me. I guess because there is a plus minus and ! next to the other people answers then we can rate of course otherwise mylot staff would not give us that option.

Well as per the guidelines of myLot we should try to rate every discussion or response that we read or respond. Not only the ones we respond or the discussions we start or our friend's start. It is good to rate the comments as well. Rating is a good tool to punish the bad or spam responses or the discussions. I will request you to go through the link again which contains the guidelines layed by myLot. http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Yes you want to rely on a person who has a longer experience of myLot, but you can go through the link I have given and read for yourself the guidelines given by myLot themselves.

I always try to rate any discussions mine or others that I am participating in. I have to admit there are times that I forget to rate others' discussions or get in such a rush that I don't rate them. I think it is something that is nice to form a habit of doing, but you are not required to do it.

I rate the discussion (+) when I think it is really good not just because it is there. When I read the responses other have made to that discussion and I think their response is very good I give it a (+) if it is just an OK response I dont rate it at all if it is rude, nasty or insulting it gets (-). BUT for my own discussions I rate every response:-)

Good question and a hard one to answer. Some people don't even bother with the +. so you are a good person in general to do so. I just give them out to every body.

I rate all discussions that I post to and everyone that posts a comment to my discussions with a + there have been a few that I have rated with a - because they left a snoty remark for their reply to a discussion. I say just rate as you feel.
