how many peeps on here play online poker? and if you do where do you play? do you play for money or do you play the freerolls? I play on poker heaven for cash and freerolls and i also play on ultimate bet but only on the freerolls.

I play on ultimate bet and bodog, both for real money and for freerolls, although I haven't played for real money on UB in a long while. I don't like playing there, I feel like there are times their system plays big hands against each other to force action... I usually stick to the freerolls at both sites now, just because I'm wary of the new laws here in the United States and those odds. I would rather play for real money at brick-and-morrtar casinos where I can see my opponents, the dealers, and the cards. I feel a little more comfortable in person... it doesn't stop me from playing online, I like playing online because I can still pickup some betting patterns online just by observing games online.

i can totally understand where you are coming form with ub, i often feel that the system has some hidden atributes about it and ever since i started playing there i have always said you are not just playing against your oponents you are also playing against the computer as well, poker heaven on the other hand when i first joined up i played their freeroll $200 and won it never been able to do it again though sadly.

I personally think the freerolls are a waste of time, they do not improve your game as many of the people playing them dont take them seriously. My advice....read up on poker strategy, learn some of the basic rules and deposit some money. Although i dont play on it partypoker is a great place to start because it has a very low min deposit of $10. Once deposited, try playing some of the $1 tourneys. People will play properly, you will get better and eventually build your bankroll so you can play bigger games. And always remember the golden rule of not playing too many hands. I came 9th in a tourney last night which had 1800 buy ins. I looked at the stats and i had played 11% of all my starting hands. I feel that proves a very valuable lesson!!

I play on bet365poker but always start on the freerolls, I'll only play the cash tables with money that I win from the freerolls. I don't win huge amounts but I do win more then I loose.

yeah thats exactly how i do, if i win on the freerolls then i will play the cahs tables it don't happen often but it happens some times which is good so you end up never loosing more than you have put in becuase you never put anything in in the first place lol.
