Has Rosie O'Donnell gone to far, or not far enough

One side of America want her to shut up, while the other side want to hear more. Is the daytime the place for her to voice her "views" The show The View is for giving views, but is it for giving Polical views, or just house wifey views! I can not wait to see where this discussion goes. BTW my "view" sometimes I think she is nuts, then others I think "MMMM!'

I personally do not care for Rosie O'Donnell, I think she is a very unhappy and bitter person in life and takes it out on the world in her views. She seems to conceal her contempt for certain individuals with her brand of wit and comedy. I do however support her right to be on The View and speak her mind, I just wish she were more diplomatic about it, rather than hurling insults at people as she has been known to do. I think she gives us larger ladies a bad name, we are either stereotyped to be fat and jolly or fat and bitter with loud mouths. She is certainly living up to the last one. I think she is unpolished and unprofessional. She may be a good mom and I will give her that, she seems like she is a very loving mom to her kids and her partner. But other than that, I think that is the nicest thing I can say about her. She doesn't give you pause for much else.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was saying that she has every right to speak her mind, but including insults and contempt for the issues within her commentary, is not tactful or diplomatic and makes her a very unappealing person.

I think it could be a good show if she would let other people actually share their views, even if they differ from hers. As it seems on this show only people that share her view are allowed to speak freely.

I don't watch daytime TV. But I do like Rosie, even though I don't have a high tolerance for "bickering". Evidently bickering attracts viewers. This is evidenced by the talk shows, reality t.v. series, etc. If people didn't want to watch it, it wouldn't be so frequently on t.v. I think what many people tend to forget about Rosie is that she is a stand-up comic. They thrive on satire, sometimes ridicule. The whole idea is to be noticed, even laughed at. I don't know that I would chose Rosie as a friend, if the only thing about her is what is exhibited in public. But I respect her right to be who and what she is. My guess is there is a lot more to her than what we see on t.v. I imagine that is true of most performers. I know that many people don't like Rosie simply because she is a lesbian and they don't look for anything positive about her because of that. Homophobia is rampant in the US. So silly. If other performers were in relationships as stable of hers there wouldn't be much to gossip about!

THere are times when I want to tell her to just give her mouth a rest, but I mostly like her. At least her views are made without her head being stuck in the sand like another member of that panel of women. The show is not much fun on the days she's off.

I think Rosie O'Donnell is a freaking nutcase, plain and simple. I completely support her being able to voice her opinions on The View, but I think she does it condescendingly and obnoxiously. It also annoys me how she blows things out of the water. For example, the Kelly Ripa and Clay Aiken thing. Rosie made it out to be this huge ordeal about Kelly's homophobia. HOW she made it out to be a gay thing, I have no idea!

yea she does speak her mind, but there are a few things that she needs to be quiet about. she is getting alot of people angry, because there are just some things you can't talk about.

I like Rosie, I rarely watch the show now. I used to watch her other show. I missed it when it went off the air. Rosie is not afraid to voice her "view" about anything.

She needs to talk to some experts and get her facts straight. I am tired of this conspiracy theory stuff. She is better at being a comedian than a talk show host. I couldn't believe they wanted her on the Veiw.

I used to like Rosie O'Donnell when she had her own television talk show, since she has been on the view she is over opininated and loud and I can't stand her, in fact I will leave the room if she is on the television set. I think the view should kick her off the show and let America have peace during the day, just my opinion.

I think she has gone way too far. If you'd read her blog, you would see that some of her ideas are really radical. I think she has really taken over the show in a negative way. Whenever someone disagrees with her, she bullies them, and tells them they're stupid. She believes the most recent capture of the Brits was a set up by the government. Come on.

I really did not like the show very much before Rosie was hired, and now I really do not like it! She tends to run all over everyone else and their views. All I can say is that I am enjoying watching The Price is Right more and more since it comes on at the same time on another channel.

Sometimes I think Rosie has gone too far, but mostly I get a kick out of her. I absolutely loved the craft session today, especially the "Donald Trump" egg. I thought it was totally creative. Not many people would have the nerve to stand up to the guy, but she does and I admire her for that...even though she is sometimes a little "loud" in her opinions. I was brought up in an age when a "lady" did not get angry and as I have aged, I have struggled with this. It is, therefore, refreshing for me to see someone who can so freely express their opinions and be able to fight back. Sometimes, she is somewhat outrageous but it is certainly better than holding it all in.

I should mention that I was taught never to talk about politics, money or religion because it was unladylike. Rosie talks about all three and I do too...now.

She can be loud sometimes but I actually love her honesty. I also think she has a point to what she's saying about the towers. I think part of the reason are getting pissed at it, is because it makes sense to them too.

I think I'm on the side of America that wants her to shut up. I've only watched The View 2 or 3 times in the last month or so. Last time I watched it is when that feud started with her and Donald Trump. I thought she was out of line on that and I'm not even a fan of Donald Trump! I thought she started out okay on the show last fall. Then I started noticing she tends to dominate the conversation and she wants the attention on her. These days if I'm around in the mornings I watch Rachel Ray. I like her show!

I think sometimes she over does it. I think it pulls in higher rating due to some of her comments so I guess she will be around for awhile. I personally donot care one way or the other what she says. I am not a fan of the show.

I am all for freedom of speech, but I think at times she takes it too far. For instance, stating that 9/11 was a government job...and also trying to insinuate that we had somehow harmed Kaylid Sheik Mohammad into confessing that he was the mastermind of 9/11. I like the fact that she is a children's, women's and family advocate, I really do like that part of her. But, when it comes to her views on the government and military, I cringe everytime she starts ranting.

Oh I like Rosie! I love how she openly gives her opinion. She tells you what is on her mind. I never really watched The View before Rosie was on it. Now I record it everyday so I can see what hot topics are on.

Why shouldn't Rosie say what she wants. She's no more offensive that Donald Trump. I don't agree with everything she says, but I think she should be able to say it without so much of a uproar. Trump can say whatever he wants, and it's ok because he's got money and power . Rosie is fat, and offensive, but she says what she feels to be true.
