Should parents whip their kids?

I do not think that there is a need to whip kids nowadays, with the emerging issue on children's rights and human rights, there are better ways in disciplining the child. The act of whipping merely showcases the powerplay between the powerful and the powerless. :)

Sure they should. Time outs, taking things away, positive reinforcement and a host of other non spanking punishments can work, but IMO, spankings work the best. CHildren remember those and as a result, remember the next time why they should not do something. It doesn't damage or harm their egos. I get so sick of child "experts" saying this. A young child isn't aware they have an ego, let alone get it damaged. They are too young and innocent to be damaged in that way.
