Has anyone tried rubbing Vitamin E on their stretch marks? Did it work for you?

Stretch marks will generally heal over a very long period of time; usually 1-2 years. But they don't exactly heal completely as you can still see some slight outline. The length of the marks do shorten though. Try cocoa butter.

Yes i have and it worked for me.For new stretch marks it works really well, old ones to but takes a little longer. After you take your shower/bath is best and just let it sink into your skin.or you can just clean the area good and apply. It may get sticky so i would suggest that you cover the area up with gauge for the larger area or bandaids for the smaller area

a friend of mine used the actual gel capsules on her marks and it didn't seem to work until she had done it for at least 3 months..I just suggest come cocoa butter unless you have free time on your hands...

I am using Wheat Germ Oil with vitamine E (www.gnld.com) both as food supplement and skin treatment. It makes the skin very soft and as it is not synthetic, but the real thing, there is no risk to take it. It can also help you to stop coughing as it has a desinfective effect. I have used it to drop it into my eyes when they have been infected. It helped. I have no strech marks but it may help to use this vitamine E product for that too. Must be better than synthetic vitamines that can only be harmful for you.

I did try it with my 1st and 2nd babies. It didn't seem to help at all though. I tend to scar easily so that might be why it didn't work. Four more babies later it seems like my entire abdomen is one big stretch mark! It doesn't bother me too much, they usually fade after awhile and once I get rid of that little pooch my skin just looks a little wrinkly. Right now is still way too soon for my "belly" to look good again (considering I can pull the loose skin up to my...chest) but I know it'll be fine in a few more months. If you don't tend to scar easily, Vitamin E might work quite well for you. I've heard of several people having really good results with it. My friend who is now almost 5 months pregnant with her 5th child showed me her belly just the other day and there are only a few small faint lines on it. Unless you look really close, she doesn't even look like she's ever been pregnant.

i did. actually i did it before i got the stretchmarks. with my first, i started using it as soon as i found out that i was pg. i only used it on my belly (stupid choice)but i would also put tons of cocoa butter on top of it. needless to say, i was a big gooey mess. the nice thing is that i didnt get any stretchmarks on my belly. i did get them all over my thighs and my behind though :( this time around, i am 38 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, and i rubbed the vitamin E gel and the cocoa butter all over, but i didnt do it every morning and every night like i did with my first. this time i did get very light and small stretch marks on one small section of my belly. i am going to continue to use the vitamin E after the baby is born. hopefully it will help them to fade sooner.
