My husband we just found out is diabetic. I'm hypoglycemic (opposites attract though right? lol) I'm looking for good recipes that he'd like but we're on a tight budget so don't want to go out & buy a whole lot of ingredients that are less common.

Diabetes - It is easy to keep the sugar level under control with proper knowledge of foods you eat.
Let him have a one teaspoon of fine powder of fenugreek mixed in water early in the morning. You can make Bitterguard in your cooking.Lots of greens help a lot.Let him have whole wheat bread for break fas.Above all he must walk atleast for 25 minutes three times a week. The quantity of the food must be small at many times a day.let him take plenty of water. With all these you can keep the sugar level well under control.

Amazing Diet Soda Cake Ingredients: 1 boxed cake mix 1 can diet 7up Cool whip (optional) Instructions:Spray 13 X 9 cake pan with pam. In large bowl, mix together both ingredients. Carbination will make it expand. Pour into pan and bake as directed on the box. Can vary this recipe by using Diet Coke with a chocolate cake mix, or Diet Orange with a white cake mix. Use your imagination! I use diet cool whip for icing. This is easy, fast, and can be made several different ways. Sometimes I use the Splenda cherry pie filling to make it fancier. But that raises your carbs. Happy Eating! Nutritional Information:135 Calories; 3g Fat (21.5% calories from fat); 1g Protein; 25g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 0mg Cholesterol; 200mg Sodium.
