The white collar worker feel like a victim of society because he reckons he pays too much tax... and he object that his tax money goes into supporting those who don't work. The white collar worker earn twice as much as the blue collar worker. It justifies that by saying that he works a lot harder. Not true! The blue collar worker works just as hard... and sometimes harder. When confronted with that fact... the white collar worker justify his earnings by saying that it has studied and is a lot smarter than the blue collar worker. I say... "The white collar worker just don't realise how lucky it is to earn so much money when so many people live on the poverty line." What is your opinion on this?

I love this discussion. I think the white collar worker is justified in thinking that he pays too much of tax. He is justified in thinking that the tax he pays goes into supporting people who don't work. After all why should someone eat on his hard work? If people live below the poverty line it is not the fault of a white collar worker. I think its just the circumstances and how someone manages to exploit it to his benefit.

I don't assume the white collar workers as lucky enough because the money which they earn, they earn it because of the dedication and hard work they have put in their jobs. He is the perfect example of a good and proper human being. He does his bit of social work by paying taxes on time, though the taxes are not utilized properly( governments fault). And yes, i have not seen many white collar workers who treat themselves as victims of society.

The majority of white collar workers do not do that much work compared to others. I agree that the white collar worker would of studied more but certainly that does not mean he is smarter than the blue collar worker. Well someone has to pay more tax so that the people living on poverty line can survive.

I think that white collar workers do have it easier and the ones on high horses shouldn't be. Yeah, they had opportunities in life that others didn't. Some people have to go straight to work when they're old enough and don't ever have time for University. Some people don't have the physical or mental capacity to work at all. Should other countries just let those people suffer and die like the US often does? (Not putting down my home country but there is little help for the helpless to even get on their feet compared with Australia which does a lot for their people to keep them from being in poverty and help them get started in the right direction). Sorry to get off track there... But I know people that do all sorts of work and the taxes don't make white collar workers' lives any harder than they make the lives of laborers. I think everyone should give what they can to their country anyway. It's kind of a shame that it has to be forced out of peoples pockets rather than willingly given by those who are honestly able to help.
