When did you bought your first perfume?for what reason?which brand?

Yesterday was my roommate's birthday. She asked me to go to the city center to choose the best suitable perfume for her, well, she wanted to have a bottle of her own perfume from yesterday on, to celebrate her 21-year-old birthday...
So,when you have your own first perfume?Do you like it?Did you bought for some special reason? Would you like share your experience on buying perfume?:)

I never really bought my own perfume. It was always given to me as a gift. My brother gave me my first perfume, it was Cool Water by Daviddoff. My aunt gave me one as well.
I have never bought one until last week. I bought my (technically) first perfume-it was a lacoste inspiration. there was really no ocassion. I just like the smell. =)
