How to better manage one's time on mylot?

I see a whole lot of people posting articles on mylot saying that they are either addicted to mylot or saying that they are spending more time than they would want to . How can one strike up a balance? Based on my own experiences, I have come to a couple of conclusions. 1) A person tends to be most creative and productive in the first half hour to one hour of being on mylot and that is when he/she posts the best replies/discussions. 2) After the first hour, one gets jaded and any more time that a person spends is not going to be so productive. Besides, spending more than an hour on mylot is not something that most of us can do or would want to do. The best thing in my mind is to give yourself an hour at most. Spend the first ten minutes or so in selecting the topics that you feel like responding to and then proceed to answer them, one after the other. You could also post the discussions that you wanted to post in between your answering. After the hour is up, you would have spent some productive time, you will be feeling good and you can go back to your other important work and not feel guilty about spending your time on mylot. What say? Do you have any other suggestions?

I think you are right. If you set yourself a certainly time, you will be very productive. Say you give yourself only one hour each day from 8-9pm, you will find that you suddenly can do many myLot things during that time. Have you heard of that theory which says that our tasks expand to fill the time allocated? For instance, we need to finish task A. We are given one hour. No problem, task A will be completed within one hour. Now we give you one day. Somehow you will find ways to drag it such that task A will take one hour to finish. That's most humans for you! :P
