Animal cruelty--will it ever stop?

This is perhaps a very heated issue--but really what purpose is there for the continued torture of innocent animals for the purposes of experimentation, especially to discover "cures" for mankinds illnesses? How can a cure ever really be found for the various diseases of mankind when they are experimented on animals--Animals have completely different physiological make-up than we humans--If animals were truly really beneficial and necessary to experiment on to find cures, well, wouldn't we have discovered those cures long time ago....but we haven't...animal experimentation therefore is a complete waste of time, and in the meantime, thousands of innocent animals are needless maimed, mutilated and tortured. Want to see some "nice" photos of what our "wonderful" scientists do to animals... http://www.bava.org.uk/photos1.html

oh my god, those pictures were so awful! Its stuff like that, that makes me HATE people! How can we be so cruel to things that are there to be our compnaions, and live freely. I can not believe how those "people" can do things like this to those beautiful animals! People that do crap like this might be the few people I say need to die! Those are terrible pictures, and it makes me sick looking at them :*( It makes me wish I could rescue all of those poor animals from all those labs and abuse :( It makes me wonder how all these animal cruelty laws can allow this crap.

And just think...those poor animals are suffering like that all in the name of scientific research to discover cures for human diseases..or to test the chemicals in the products we use...unfortunately the governments all back such research and even give grants and money for this kind of research "testing" Try to figure that one out

that is so stupid. The governments just contradicting itself! I wish my dad would run for president, then i'd talk him into trying to stop this! =P Me and my dad joked about him running for president. I think it would be great, a clean politician! :D

The best way to stop this is to not buy products that use animal testing. Most products that don't test on animals state that somewhere on the label or packaging.
